Founded in 1933 in Bauchrieh by Lebanese shareholders, mainly the Jae family , the Almaza Brewery was initially called "Brasserie Franco-Libano-Syrienne". In spite of many damages due to various bombardments during the Lebanese war, theewery continues its activity, and is today the only bigewery in the country.
